Frequently Asked Questions
We've tried to make things as simple as possible
on our website so that you can see clearly,
prices, formats and any technical information.
Below are a few common questions we get asked
on a regular basis that might answer your
questions. If theres anything not covered
here then please do get in contact
and we'll do our best to help.
How does the
Brochure design and print process work?
Over on the left hand
side you'll see a list of popular brochure
and folder formats ranging from A5 folded
brochures, through to folders with stitched
brochures. Simply select the package that
best suits you from the list on the left,
you'll then go through to a page with technical
information including brochure sizes, brochure
design and print turnaround and brochure paper
stock. There will be a list of prices, select
the right one for you and you'll be taken
through to our on-line secure payments page.
Once payment has been processed you'll be
directed to an order page and be able to fill
out the simple registration form. The more
information you include the better as we will
be able to target the design to your particular
market. We will the email you and you can
then send over any content you have in word
docs plus any additional images or logos if
needed. The next stage would be for us to
design the brochure which will be submitted
via email either in low res pdf format or
as a flattened jpg for your aproval. If there
are any changes needed let us know and we'll
make them until your absolutely happy. Only
when the designs have been approved will we
move on to printing. We will then give you
an estimated delivery day for your completed
brochures. You can then sit back and look
forward to seeing your brochures delivered
direct to your door.
How do you keep
your brochure design and print prices so low?
Our design team although
small in number have many years experience
in putting together successful marketing brochures.
Because our efforts are focused on brochure
designing on a day to day basis we can quickly
put things together and more often than not
get things pretty much right first time. All
of our brochure printing is handled by selected
trade suppliers that we have built up good
working relations with over the years and
can rely on to meet our deadlines and high
quality control. Because we are putting through
a lot of print on a regular basis we can use
our trade buying power to lever down costs
and pass on those savings to our customers.
How soon can
I get my brochures produced?
We've given estimated turnaround times on
all our brochure product pages. We try and
jump on all new jobs as soon as they come
in. As far as print is concerned we can sometimes
pull things forward on estimated turnaround
times if you need things in a hurry. Always
enquire prior to placing an order to see what
we can do.
I already have
a designed brochure can you print it for me?
Through experience
we have found that what people think is print
ready artwork, very often is far from it.
We require images be saved in cmyk format
at least 300dpi resolution. All artwork must
be supplied with text outlined and to the
right specific dimensions with 3mm bleed.
Put simply if you are familiar with DTP design
software and know what you are doing we'd
be happy to take a look at your print ready
files and give you a competitive
print quote. However bearing in mind our
combined design and print packages are already
lower than most other printers can produce
for print alone, we think in most cases you'd
be best off letting the professionals design
and print your brochures.
Can you print
any special finishes such as spot varnish
or embossing?
Yes we can but if
you require a different stock paper or different
finishing process such as spot varnish or
5th colours we will need to work out a tailored
quote for your specific special
process print job.
